I checked out a site that offers free insurance quotes today. I was looking at home-owners insurance. I filled out the forms, which were pretty painless. I had expected to get actual firm quotes, so I was disappointed to just see a listing of agents at the end of the process 🙁 I think the service is a great idea, but it could be improved by actually providing a quote at the end. On the upside, I got a phone call right away. On the downside, I had put “do not call” in my instructions.
