Reflections on life from 40-something

Science

November23

When I was in school, science was not usually my favorite subject. I loved history and English, instead. But I really enjoyed using microscopes to find out about the smallest of things. I am still intrigued by how parts fit together to make a whole. I’ve wondered about how to share that fascination with my children.

I think I may be getting a microscope for us in the near future. OpticsPlanet has launched www.microscopes.com, with microscopes for all, from kids to university scientist. They offer free shipping on orders over 29.95, and a No Hassle Holiday Return Policy.

I’m interested in a couple of the sets they offer. This 2-PC Fun Science Gift Package contains the tools we need to study astronomy *and* biology. The microscope and telescope, as well as the solarscope are included for just $119.99.

I also think this set looks good, and might be a bit more rugged, which is needful when you have little people. For $99.99, the 3-PC Magnify the World Science Gift Package includes a Carson Magnifier BL55, Audubon 4×30 Kids Binoculars, and Konus 300X Digital Toy Microscope 5022.

If you are not sure what you need , the gift finder is a great place to start narrowing down your choices and find the best gifts. They do truly have enough stuff there to overwhelm a rocket scientist, but they make it simple to find just what you need.

I'm Cass. I am a full-time mom to eight great children, a Christian and a blogger. I'm also a knitter, a reader and a movie watcher. And a collector of eclectic oddities.

For the first time in 18 and a half years, I have my own little corner again. Somewhere along the way, I seem to have lost myself, and now that I realize I'm missing, I'm on the look out for me. You maybe don't know what that means, but then again, maybe you do. Regardless, this is where I'll be when I'm not being a mother or a knitter. This is where I'll be just me. And if no one ever reads it, that's ok. I'll know it's here.
