There’s a new game in town, and it looks like fun. It’s called Molkky, and it’s from Finland. (Hi Hanna!) It looks similar to cornhole, which the guys were playing at the family reunion this weekend. And also like bowling. The game is being imported by MolkkyUSA.com, and you can find the rules, and such at their website as well. It looks like fun. See?

are so thrilled because we are in the thick of football season. I think they dream about Fantasy Football. If I knew anything at all about the game, I’d be dreaming, too, because the prizes are cool! DH patiently answers my football questions, but alas, I do not remember the rules from game to game, let alone from season to season.

Yesterday, I posted that list of stuff to do, and I did work on the cleaning and laundry. Of course, the laundry is piled on the couch waiting to be folded, which we will work on today. The cleaning has been undone, but that’s the way it goes.

I did not get to the checkbook and bills, but I have a reason. My mom came over to get my help on some computer stuff. That put me behind, because I spent a couple of hours with her. Let me encourage you to spend time with your family while you can. Don’t ever get so busy with “tasks” and “things” that you forget to invest in the people you love. This is a downfall for me, which is why I am taking a moment to exhort you to be better about it than I am. The time that you “waste” with your family today will be precious memories later. Nuff said?

Today’s list then, or at least the top few:
deal with the mound of laundry
checkbook/bills
bathe the baby

If time allows, I still need to type up the posts I mentioned yesterday. I finally brought my notes over for the sermon post, and I still remember what happened Saturday night, so we’re good there. But that’s for later. For now, I need to get the money stuff done while I still have electricity and running water. I like those things, LOL!

OH! also must order the cds for Christmas presents so they have time to get here. And we have scouts tonight. So my list of three top items has grown to seven, and I’m stopping there. For now, of course

The UK has jumped on the smoking ban-dwagon, it seems. A quick glance at the laws indicates they aren’t quite as rabid as the ones in California that attempt to even ban smoking outside. (Yeah, I’ll think that’s a fair law when we also ban emissions from factories, etc. Ain’t happening, sweetheart.) Anyway, UK Smoking Law Resource Center can help business owners find their way through the new regulations. Each country in the UK has or is adopting a different law, so you’ll need to be sure to check out the particulars for your locale. That’ll be simple at www.nosmokinglaw.co.uk because the site is well laid out, and very clean to navigate.

I did find it interesting that a pub owner from Scotland has noticed a severe drop-off in business since the ban went into effect there. Duh. Smokers won’t go out to drink (or eat) if they can’t light up. Here’s why: you can buy all the alcohol and food you want and bring it to your house, where you can still smoke in peace (unless you live in California, I guess). Smokers smoke. That’s what they do. It’s my opinion that these laws do nothing to save lives, but merely cripple local businesses. And do you know what a floundering economy does? Yes, makes people smoke to relieve stress. Good luck with that. Let me know how it works out for ya.
