My favorite weather is mostly sunny and between 75 and 80 degrees. I like to be able to wear just a t-shirt and be comfortable. During a rainstorm, I love to lay in bed and listen to the sound of the rain on the roof. I like to watch a snow storm, if I have to be in one at all. I love the look of snow, but greatly dislike the cold that comes with it I also dislike the way the snow beside the road gets all nasty and dirty as the cars drive by. I’m fine with most types of weather unless I have to drive in pouring rain or thick snow, but I really dislike the weather we are having today: COLD!

If I could got hold of the real email address of the real decision maker for the Republican party, I’d send them a note to say:

Please don’t screw this up. It’s too important. Pick a real candidate, with a real vision for our country and let’s get it on. Don’t get distracted by flash and charm, just pick the best man for the job. It’s not Hillary you are fighting, it’s the mindset she represents. We the people still know the difference between the shammers and truth sayers.

This is a different Amy than the one I introduced you to last week. This Amy has a new dog, and a rocking blog tricked out with Napoleon Dynamite categories. I really enjoy Whatever I Feel Like, from the peaceful look of the site, to the well written posts. Amy talks about a wide variety of subjects, and I am sure you will find her as delightful as I do. Hang tight, because I will be introducing her other blog in the future.

Did you notice I wasn’t here this morning? I said last night I really needed to not let my sites consume my day. That’s really easy to do when you work from home, isn’t it? There’s either the temptation to never get down to business or either business all day. And, yes, sometimes call internet fun “work”.

So today, I allowed myself an hour of internet time first thing after I got up, and then I really did get up and attend to other things. Here’s the proof!

I went to a new site today, expecting to be blown away. My excitement fizzled pretty quickly, though. I’ve been asked to give a review, though, and I am going to, because I think this site could be great! The articles, such as this one on Mobile Communication, are decently written, and certainly enough to answer basic questions, and let a person know if they want to continue to research a subject. So far, so good, because that’s what I expect from a site with a name like Encyclocentral.

And that’s where my expectations and this site parted ways. The articles are not alphabetized on the letter pages, making it difficult to find what you are looking for. You have to find a tiny link at the bottom of the page to get that, but here it is. That should be way more prominent on the page. Like at the top, and in big letters.

Additionally, it was obvious that the site was set up as a money maker and that’s fine. You all know I don’t have a problem making a buck off a website, as long as there is valuable content. I’d like to see the article selection expanded a great deal, though, in order for this to become a one-stop information shop. What’s there is good, and often very good, just put more of it, and add some articles on non-keyword items.

Again, great potential here! I think with time and work, this could be an awesome resource. And make you a few bucks in the bargain.

My friend Ang. (don’t forget the period) needs some introducing. I have known Ang. for years, and she has been a wonderful friend to me. We lost contact last year when we both had computer trouble one right after the other, but a couple months ago, I got an IM from the past, and it was her! I was so glad to hear from her again, and we picked up right where we left off so long ago.

Ang. (note the period) has a few blogs, but the one I want to tell you about today is A Bit of This and That. She blogs there about whatever has her interest at the moment, and right now, that’s the cold. You’ll find lots of different stuff there, though, so do drop by!

Today I will also be packing the pump up. You’ll recall I had blogged about weaning a couple weeks ago, and I probably left you with the impression that I was done, but that was not the case. I kept making milk, kept getting engorged and kept having to pump. I packed the thing up twice and put it in the closet, only to have to get it out again. As I type, it’s been over 60 hours since I pumped, I’m a little sore but not engorged, and I fully intend to get that sucker (pun intended) off my desk for good today!

And my feelings are still mixed about it, believe it or not. It’s been a wonderful opportunity to do for DD what only I can do. At the same time, it made me very conscious of every drop of milk produced or not produced. I used several Breast Pumps (as you may remember) before I found the one that worked best for me, as far as fitting in with my life. I found a lot of wonderful tips at kellymom, and lots of women doing the same thing at the EP yahoo group. EP stands for exclusively pumping.

For those starting on a pumping journey, I want to encourage you: You can do this. It will not be easy, it may at times be uncomfortable, and you will be chained to that pump in a way a baby never ties you down. But it’s also important, and if you decide it’s a priority, then you will be successful. The final thing you’ll need is a place to get supplies. I’m recommending Breastpumps.com because they have a live chat. That was one of the most difficult parts of my pumping journey. I had no one to talk to who knew the ins and outs of the different pumps available, so I had to wing it. I have a collection that didn’t work for me for various reasons to prove that.
