How Not to Blog

January18

I have a friend who’s name is Kat. She pretty outspoken, and doesn’t pull the punches. She said some things yesterday that reminded me of something I wanted to address. The party in question is a PPP blogger who just doesn’t seem to get it. This blogger frequently violates the TOS for PPP and makes excuses when he/she is caught.

Kat wrote (in part):

You are the last person anyone on this forum should get advice from. If they followed your advice and your blogging model, they would also be violating TOS and writing complete sh*t.

Here are my suggestions for improvement, since I believe all critcism ought to be constructive:

  1. Study English. If you are going to keep an English language blog, make an effort not to butcher it. I know it’s a difficult language to learn, but doing it badly just makes you look illiterate, not multi-cultural.
  2. Quit taking opps you know nothing about, just for the money. You offend the advertisers and the Posties. Surely you have some interests beyond money: write about those.
  3. Spend some time on your interim posts. A blog is supposed to have personal content.
  4. Quit laughing at the advertisers, and pointing out how you game the system. It makes you look like a jerk.

I'm Cass. I am a full-time mom to eight great children, a Christian and a blogger. I'm also a knitter, a reader and a movie watcher. And a collector of eclectic oddities.

For the first time in 18 and a half years, I have my own little corner again. Somewhere along the way, I seem to have lost myself, and now that I realize I'm missing, I'm on the look out for me. You maybe don't know what that means, but then again, maybe you do. Regardless, this is where I'll be when I'm not being a mother or a knitter. This is where I'll be just me. And if no one ever reads it, that's ok. I'll know it's here.
