If you’ve stuck with me this long, I appreciate it. If your eyes have glazed over, I understand that, too. As for me, my headache is worse, and I feel like I need a couple of these hangover cures, only I haven’t had anything to drink. Well, except the previously discussed tea.

Seriously, I appreciate your patience, and I’ll try to avoid getting myself jammed up like this again. I hope you at least giggled a couple of times Now I get to go do this on another blog.

I’m still not drinking more water, not even with the weather warming up. Just more tea. Or course, I still haven’t found portable water filters that will make the water taste like something else, either. If you see one, let me know. Until then…..well, you know. It’s gonna be TEA. Or coffee. It will not be water.

You know what I have discovered? The more stressed I am, the less care I take of myself. Now, a rational person would know that when they are stressed, then need to pamper themselves just a touch. Not me. I realized that I had not used my face stuff for a couple of nights, even after I went to such pains to get it. And these aren’t even expensive skinceuticals. It’s just normal stuff from the baby section. So, this note is to myself: Quit forgetting to baby yourself. Your face will love you for it.

I want a wedgie! No, for real. I want one of those triangular shaped chair pieces that make sectional sofas turn a corner. I could totally use that to re-configure my living room, and it would be cool. Of course, it would bring about new problems with our current traffic patterns, but….well, it would still be cool.

You know what I do when I get stressed? I work harder and get more stressed. What I really ought to do is take a mental break and plan leisuretime holidays. But that makes entirely too much sense! Who in their right mind would handle stress by attempting to de-stress? Yeah, not me either.

Please excuse me while I post this little tidbit. I’ve heard it and read it so many times, I bet you won’t even need me to finish it. You’ll read the first half of the question and finish it in your own mind without my help. Here we go: How come there are pens everywhere until I want one? Bonus points if you can explain why it is that every time I buy pens for myself, they disappear!

I have a boatload of business to take care of. I apologize in advance if you read this blog via feed. Ya’ll know that I do write blog posts for compensation, and I m so behind on my work right now that it isn’t even funny. Since I do get paid to blog, I think I need to go ahead and get busy with it.

Easter is right around the corner. Many are looking for first communion gifts, most are shopping for new clothes, and it’s real easy to forget what the season is about, even in the midst of celebrating it. I’m reminded of the old song, “I serve a risen Savior, He’s in the world today. I know that He is with me, whatever men may say.”

I know many people who get all caught up in Christmas, and that’s the focal point of their religious year. For me, it is Easter. I love Christmas, but it is Easter that finishes the story, see. If Christ had not died and then been raised from the dead, then there would be no point in Christmas at all.

Next Sunday, I am preparing food for my church body to celebrate Passover. We’re being careful to keep the meal kosher. I’ll make oven-fried chicken tenders, and serve those in spaghetti sauce with pasta. We’ll also have corn and green beans. I have to cook fried chicken between now and then, because I can’t use butter or bacon to season the vegetables. You’ll notice there’s no bread on the menu, either, because there can be no yeast.

It amazes me still, the correlation between the Old Testament rules and Christ. Remember when
He said He came to fulfill the law, and not to do away with it? That’s what he meant. We are free, because the law has been fulfilled. The impossible law that bound us to our sin has been fulfilled. Hallelujah!
