It’s time for another Supahstar Saturday! What do you mean it’s Tuesday? One of us must be confused!
The featured blogger for March 31st was Deb of Surviving NJ. Deb is a fun loving gal who blogs on multiple domains. I think she does a great job juggling her niche blogs, and she is always entertaining to read. I normally think quite highly of Deb, but I think I am a little upset that she blogged she was planning to take a shower. I thought I’d made it plain to all my internet friends that I did not want to hear about any personal cleanliness until I had hot water. Lucky for Deb, the plumber is here even as I type.
(I’m just teasing ya, Deb.)
I know you will enjoy Deb’s blog. She’s a real down to earth gal.

If you are not reading this blog via feed, you had a surprise this morning, didn’t you? I switched to this theme late last night. I still have quite a bit of work I want to do on the sidebars and such, but it was time to give my taste for pink some phentermine. I do love pink, but…….sometimes I just need a change
It was originally a two column theme, so you can see I’ve done a little work on it already.
So, why was I switching themes late Sunday night? And why isn’t it finished?? Well, I’d been thinking about changing for most of last week, but I was incredibly busy. With the mopping and sopping, you know. Then on Thursday, I started at the door that opens into the kitchen, and I cleaned. Appliances moved, cabinets emptied, vacuum cleaner on the cabinets so I could do the tops. That kind of cleaning. And folks, my kitchen is spacious–about 26×13. When I sat down last night, exhausted, I decided to look at themes, and one thing led to another, and here it is. This morning, I got up and I finished the last of the kitchen, so I haven’t had time to finish it up yet. I’ll be working on the tweaking this week as I have time.
Let me know what you think!

So, the plumber came. And I’ve been cleaning since he left. I’d been really unmotivated to do any cleaning while the water was seeping out from the walls, but now that we’re dry (well, sorta dry, things are still pretty wet under the surface), I’m back on it. Today I cleaned the cabinet above the frig, de-iced and cleaned the frig freezer, then did the frig itself, including the grill underneath. No, I mean really cleaned it. And I had to heat the water on the stove to do so. No hot water heater, see. I am beat. If I were a rechargeable battery, I’d plug myself in to the nearest outlet.
I am also incredibly dirty and I really want to wash my hair. I feel like a pioneer, only with inside toilets.

I installed the do follow plugin here last week, and the fabulous Colleen of the remarkable Geeky Speaky had the most wonderful idea that it would be a good thing to let the blog-world know who gives link love back to their commenters. Accordingly, she started the “D-list”. To be part of the D-list, you must use some sort of do follow in your comments. There are several wordpress plugins to do that, and several other blogging platforms allow it as well.
***Begin Copying Here***
1.Write a short paragraph at the beginning of your post and link back to the blog that put you on the list in the paragraph. This isn’t a suggestion. You need to break up the duplicate content. Someone took the time to add you so the least you can do is give them an extra link back.
2. Copy the list of originals below COMPLETELY and add it to your blog. If you would like a different keyword for your blog then change it when you do your post and it should pass to most blogs with that keyword.
3. Take the adds from the blog that added you and place them in the “Originals” list.
4. Add at least 1 new blog that you KNOW is using the DO FOLLOW plugin to the list in the “My Adds” section. (Add no more than 5!) Let the people you’ve added know, so that they can keep the list going!
5. Leave relevant comments on the blogs listed and get a link back to your site thanks to Do Follow!

Ya’ll, I told you Monday that I had leaks, and I had been mopping them up. Yesterday and today were more of the same, only faster, better, and much improved from the leak’s point of view. From mine, not so much. I am now at the point where I am having to wash and dry laundry just do I can sop up water, and running the washer causes the puddles to grow to the point that it takes most of the load of towels to sop it back up. The plumber will be here tomorrow. I hope when everything dries out that I don’t need to shop for any North Carolina furniture, but I am pretty sure I’ll need a new floor in the kitchen.

This blog has been nominated for a couple of awards. I’m a late entry into both fields and I need your help. Could you please click the buttons below and vote for me? You’ll have to register, but it’s quick and painless, and I would so appreciate it. If I win, I may be taking a little Florida vacation. You do want me to have a vacation, right?

Today, it was time for my bi-weekly call to the IRS. I’m most pleased that I don’t have to recommend telecom consulting for them as I did last time. My call was answered quickly, by a person who spoke clearly and I was rather pleasantly informed that I should have my money in 2-3 weeks. Suh-weet. The amount is not as much as I had hoped, but it’s still a pleasant number.
