I am almost sure it is the light. This morning, I was able to get myself up at 6:30, but I had the hardest time staying awake. Finally, a 7:30, I laid down on the couch, and at 8, I was perky and ready to tackle the day. Which coincides with the time the morning sun finally made it into my windows. perhaps it will get better when the time changes, and I really hope so. I struggled to get this habit going, and it’s not one I am wanting any kind of rehabs for, iykwim. I want it to get stronger, even: ideally, I’d like to get up at 5.

  1. You might consider investing in one of those lamps that emulate real sunlight. Or an article I read said basically turn all the lights on. Our bodies are hard wired to go to bed, and get up with the sun… I know I have a much harder time getting up at 5:30 the darker it gets!

  2. I was getting up at 5 for the longest time, then I started ‘snoozing it’ until about 5:40 and I just can’t seem to get myself up at 5 and it’s driving me crazy. And now with having fall break last week, I’m really messed up on my waking time! I did get up at 7:30 today and that was a vast improvement over the last week. I’m going to try to get up even earlier tomorrow so Monday morning doesn’t kick my tushy!
