Reflections on life from 40-something

Success

December28

Well, I think I was successful anyway. I did get my desk finished. I even cleared off some stuff from my dresser for good measure. I penciled stuff into my calendar and also checked some things off my to-do list. Not nearly enough, mind you, but some. I even managed to return a couple of phone calls. Unfortunately for me, I think I added as much to the list as I checked off. Sometimes, life is like real estate flipping: you hustle as fast as you can, and hope to stay a half step ahead. Hopefully, I can do better tomorrow, and actually end up with a shorter list, yk?

I do admit, though, it sure is nice to sit here and actually see desk again. It’s wood. Who knew? I can actually move my elbows as I type, and that’s a very good thing.

I'm Cass. I am a full-time mom to eight great children, a Christian and a blogger. I'm also a knitter, a reader and a movie watcher. And a collector of eclectic oddities.

For the first time in 18 and a half years, I have my own little corner again. Somewhere along the way, I seem to have lost myself, and now that I realize I'm missing, I'm on the look out for me. You maybe don't know what that means, but then again, maybe you do. Regardless, this is where I'll be when I'm not being a mother or a knitter. This is where I'll be just me. And if no one ever reads it, that's ok. I'll know it's here.
