Reflections on life from 40-something

Is there any question you can’t look up the answer to on the internet?
Invent a new word that you feel would improve the language and define it.
What is your favorite texture?

Hmm, I don’t think you can find out the meaning of life here, but pretty much anything with a concrete answer is findable. I love the internet. I can’t imagine life without it now. I mean, my BFF is someone I’ve only spent 5 days with, and I knew her for over 4 years before that ever happened.

I invent words all the time. I invented rankspank, and ludicrosity just in the past few months. Also testical and deskal. And boobal. The first two are pretty self explanatory, but testical has to do with testing, mostly of the problem shooting variety, and specifically with the development of software. Deskal and boobal refer to the my desk and boobs, and are generally used with “area”, as in “This is my deskal area, do not touch it,” or “Beware the boobal area!” as little people are running pell mell past me.

Texture? To feel, slightly rough paper, like books are printed on. To eat, chocolate mousse, whipped cream in a can and such as this. It just feels so fun in your mouth!

I'm Cass. I am a full-time mom to eight great children, a Christian and a blogger. I'm also a knitter, a reader and a movie watcher. And a collector of eclectic oddities.

For the first time in 18 and a half years, I have my own little corner again. Somewhere along the way, I seem to have lost myself, and now that I realize I'm missing, I'm on the look out for me. You maybe don't know what that means, but then again, maybe you do. Regardless, this is where I'll be when I'm not being a mother or a knitter. This is where I'll be just me. And if no one ever reads it, that's ok. I'll know it's here.
