Last flowers planted

July18

Now that is a totally mundane title, but it does tell you exactly what this post is about. Yesterday, I planted the last flowers I intend to plant for the year. I moved Lantana from it’s middle of the yard outgrowth to a spot in the flowerbed, and I planted the two live Sweet William plants on the other side of the same bed. The mixed flowers I planted in the other bed are coming up now, and hopefully I’ll see a few blooms once it gets cool enough to enjoy the evenings sitting in outdoor furniture. Right now, it’s too blasted hot to do very much of that. Unless your air conditioner is broken like mine has been. Then outside is definitely better than in! Much better.

I'm Cass. I am a full-time mom to eight great children, a Christian and a blogger. I'm also a knitter, a reader and a movie watcher. And a collector of eclectic oddities.

For the first time in 18 and a half years, I have my own little corner again. Somewhere along the way, I seem to have lost myself, and now that I realize I'm missing, I'm on the look out for me. You maybe don't know what that means, but then again, maybe you do. Regardless, this is where I'll be when I'm not being a mother or a knitter. This is where I'll be just me. And if no one ever reads it, that's ok. I'll know it's here.
