Reflections on life from 40-something

Another cycle done

December13

Ok, I have finished another cycle of my crisis day, and I am pretty well satisfied with what I have accomplished. I’m still afraid to turn on the bathroom lights, but I have mostly handled the laundry and the kitchen is well underway. I am doing the peripheral storage first, and then I will attack the main working area of it. That won’t take very long at all, and I am quite sure I will be through by the end of the year. I really cannot properly explain the sense of accomplishment that gives me, to finally see the end in sight of a project I have been meaning to tackle for years, but it is huge, absolutely HUGE.

There will be no self portrait today. I am makeup-less and exhausted, and it would just be too scary to post. Sorry.

Also, my back hurts. That is all.

I'm Cass. I am a full-time mom to eight great children, a Christian and a blogger. I'm also a knitter, a reader and a movie watcher. And a collector of eclectic oddities.

For the first time in 18 and a half years, I have my own little corner again. Somewhere along the way, I seem to have lost myself, and now that I realize I'm missing, I'm on the look out for me. You maybe don't know what that means, but then again, maybe you do. Regardless, this is where I'll be when I'm not being a mother or a knitter. This is where I'll be just me. And if no one ever reads it, that's ok. I'll know it's here.
