Today I drove one hundred and twenty four miles
And I wore dark red shoes with a black suit
To anonymously attend the funeral of a man
I did not know, so I could stand behind a man
Who was standing behind so many so that he
Would not have to be by himself, even though
It looked to the rest of the world like he was
Alone.
Thank you for letting me do that for you. I promise you it meant as much to me as it did to you.
