First things first: dentist this morning for a cleaning and my mouth hurts. I’m seeing tylenol and a nap in my near future.
So, yesterday I showed you a mountain of stuff I pulled out of the baby girls’ closet. This morning after the dentist I sorted it. For better or worse, it was primarily scrapping supplies, things I need to scrap, and papers I need to sort and create a filing system for. I guess that means it is time to (finally) move into the crafty portion of the summer. I still need to clean the girls’ room thoroughly, but there is no real urgency on that, as I have more than a month to get it done. An hour a day (or more realistically, the amount of time it takes to wash and dry one load of laundry) will see me done in plenty of time.
Wow. Pause a moment here. Let that sink in. This goal setting thing really worked. No, I mean it REALLY worked. I made a list of what I needed to accomplish, I worked on it every day I was home, and I rewarded myself with cool toys along the way. Boys and girls, I think we have a system here.
Now, if you will excuse me, my living room has a few bins in it, and I am the only one who knows the stories they contain. It’s time to start writing them down.
