118/364/2015 What I Did in Not School Today

Was to finish sorting my craft and hobby library, which I started yesterday. I went from this

To this

I only regret not having a true before pic,  because that top shelf was full Monday night.

I plan to start the cookbooks tomorrow.

Also,  I really need to make a drop at The Bookthing.

58/365/2015 I’m All About That Space, ‘Bout That Space, No Trouble

So, I woke up in here this morning. It was glorious. I felt alert and refreshed and excited for the day for the first time in weeks. I’m not sure when the energy in my room got all jammed up and went awry, but it’s fixed now. As soon as I got the items for the meditation area in the room, with mounds of stuff still piled on the bed, and not even put together yet, I felt the shift, and knew I was headed in the right direction. There’s even enough floor space for yoga and planks and such as this. Nope, I didn’t plan that, it just happened. Most of my complaints from yesterday were addressed by this re-arranging effort. Sometimes the Universe answers swiftly.

I had been considering a new, bigger bed, but I won’t be doing that now, because there is no room for it. Instead, I will treat myself to a yoga mat ($5 at Five Below) and a new bedspread/comforter and dust ruffle. Not sure how much that will cost, and I don’t really care. I’m saving about $1200 by not getting the bed. Actually more, because I would have needed all new bed-clothes, too.

Now, if you will excuse me, I need to get on that homework.

24/365/2015 Ahhh, that’s better!

And it’s only needed doing since I moved in here! I’m pleased with today’s effort, but a little confused about where I stashed the wicker basket that had all my hair sticks in it. I’m sure it’s here somewhere, right?

I noticed on the Timehop App that today in 2014 I printed off the essay Self-Reliance because a friend told me it had a profound effect on him. I plan on reading it this evening, finally. *tongue in cheek* Given subsequent events, it’s apparently a really instructive read. *snort* Sometimes I slay me. *mock serious face* Smartassery will be the death of me yet.

I got a notice in the mail today that my youngest child owes the library 60something bucks. Apparently it was an error to let them all get their own cards. I didn’t think we were that organized. I’m sure it’s for books that we forgot to turn in and that the books are still here. But yikes!

Okay, I have sat here for a bit and thought about the day. I got nothing else that I want to share with John Q. Public, so I guess it’s time to shut up. On to the reading and knitting section of my day.

We still live here

But it’s clean (enough) and organized.

Chore sticks

Color coded for age and frequency. We all pitch in and then it’s done.

Been a long time coming…

But I can finally access all my books.  No. I mean that in my old house, many of them were *behind* the couch.  Gratuitous shot of my diagonal dining room included because I could.  If you are reading this on social media, click through to see the entire photo set.

Quite possibly the world’s ugliest craft shelves

I really need a set of tall shelves here, but in the meantime… I have plenty of fun stuff to do. And no, this isn’t all of it. Not by a long shot.

Because for bare footin’
