Loud Launch

I’ve been waiting for the official launch of LoudLaunch for sometime now, and today is the big day. LoudLaunch is a new website that connects bloggers with advertisers. The LoudLaunch network allows bloggers to be compensated for helping our advertisers distribute their press releases or news. Advertisers’ with any budget can create campaign’s starting at $50. The reach of a campaign is determined by the campaigns budget. Obviously a higher budget allows more bloggers to distribute the news.

LoudLaunch members read press releases from advertisers and write up a short blurb for their blogs, much like the one you are reading. They don’t tell you want to say, you get to decide for yourself. I couldn’t find any details as to how long it takes to get paid, so I’ll have to update you on that. It lloks like a reasonable service, and one I think I will enjoy.

Online Marketing

Internet businesses seem to be hatching at about a bazillion a minute. I have one myself, though I have been far to busy to invest much time in it lately, and neither my partner nor I are very eager to see it swell to the place it once was when it consumed both our lives. But most people with an online business would like to see a little more activity than we’ve been having lately. San Diego Internet marketing is a company that can help you develop your business on your terms. Don’t let the name fool you, they can help you in Podunk as well as in San Diego. From web design to seo, they are ready.

Thanks Mike!

Michael Arrington (google it) has another article on PayPerPost up on his site. This guy just can’t seem to get enough of us, even as he professes to hate us. I think if I disliked something as much as he professes to hate PPP, I’d find something else to talk about, ykwim?

Anyway, his big deal today is that effective Monday, PPP will require bloggers to disclose instead of just strongly encouraging it. Mikey tries to play it off as a response to recent FTC (non)rulings, but I have news for Mike. This move has been in the planning since before the PPP town hall meeting in October. Ted (PPP CEO) told us then that disclosure was going to become first suggested, and then later disclosing or not would affect our status with PPP. I didn’t realize he meant “you’ll disclose or you won’t blog for us,” but that works for me. If you can’t be truthful, I don’t want you as a colleague. As for me and my blogs, nothing changes. I’ve been disclosing by talking about PPP since I joined, and I have a formal disclosure policy on every blog of mine that accepts compensated posts.

In addition to this requirement, we’ll also see an increase in our pay-rate, with the minimum price per post increasing by $1. And it’s still the best deal you can get on consumer generated marketing. Ted discussed disclosure today on the PPP blog. And, oh yeah, this is a sponsored post.

Click the little blue button over there if you want to paid to blog about the things you love. We’ll both make a few bucks 🙂

Have you read this?

I’m talking about the PayPerPost blog. It’s the place to go to get the scoop on the crazy shenanigans of Ted and the gang. There’s also real news like updates (new servers!! more speed!!) and such. And all those crazy confessional videos I’ve posted?? That’s where they came from!

Recent entries include juicy incriminating pics from the Christmas Party, (Pete showed up with PPP shaved into teh back of his head) and details about Touch-a-Truck, which is a recent charity event that PPP participated in. Yes, I did just say PPP is involved in local charities. How cool is that?

Don’t forget to check the comments, too, where you may just find yours truly. Go ahead. Get your crazy on!

A Little Light Reading?

Ya’ll know I am interested in making money online. I talk about it enough, don’t I? There’s an e-book I am interested in Reading, called High Performance Affiliate Marketing, and it’s about how to make money with affiliate marketing.

The author is Jeremy Palmer, and he says this is a comprehensive and practical hands on guide to affiliate business.

The cost is $49.95, but if the testimonials are true, it’s a worthy investment. I don’t have a day job to quit, of course, but the very idea of a website named Quit Your Day Job just makes me giggle! And the 60 day money back guarantee means you can order without worrying, since Mr. Palmer stands behind his product.

Sleep!

Man, I just want to sleep! While I can still pull an all-nighter, it sure takes longer to bounce back than it used to. I’m still suffering from Friday night’s shenanigans. I need to get back on track, and let the blogs become a hobby instead of the main focus they have been for the past 3 days, LOL! But since most of the work is done now, and just small tweaking remains, that’s fine.

I do have several posts waiting for me to get my thoughts together. You won’t get to read any of them this morning, though, since I am almost ready to get up.

November 9

More laundry today, but I hope to be done with the extra by day’s end. The girls brought home adog this morning. He apparently refused to be left behind at Food Lion, first jumping in the car, then ON the car, then in again. Neutered, with a collar, but no tags.

I downloaded the new performancing beta, and am finally able to remote post again to these blogger blogs. That will help enormously with SixNeatThings. I also downloaded a cool smilies package. Alas, I could not find a spell checker or word counter. My quest will continue.
