Study to show yourself approved

January22

It really hurts my heart when I hear Catholics say that Christians do not typically think Catholics are Christians, too. I do not understand this at all. If you close your mind when you hear “Catholic”, you are missing some powerful truths. Likewise, if you swallow whole and without questions all the doctrines of most mainstream Christian denominations, you may be chewing on rotten meat.

The Bible is plain in 2 Timothy 2:15 Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. All that is required for salvation is this: So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.” (Acts 16:31)

I have a surprise for you: Heaven will not have neighborhoods. And I imagine when you get there, you’ll find some folks you probably didn’t expect to see. And probably miss some you certainly thought would be there.

Oh, how I long for Heaven! Do you think we will really miss anyone? I wonder that. Will we be too enthralled by the wonders of Heaven and the presence of God to miss those we thought would be there or surprised to see ones we didn’t?

Cass, I can’t agree more to this. I have had so many experiences regarding this ‘debate’ and it is so tiring trying to open up people’s minds. Hey,I haven’t forgotten about the carnival.. would get round to it in the next edition.

I'm Cass. I am a full-time mom to eight great children, a Christian and a blogger. I'm also a knitter, a reader and a movie watcher. And a collector of eclectic oddities.

For the first time in 18 and a half years, I have my own little corner again. Somewhere along the way, I seem to have lost myself, and now that I realize I'm missing, I'm on the look out for me. You maybe don't know what that means, but then again, maybe you do. Regardless, this is where I'll be when I'm not being a mother or a knitter. This is where I'll be just me. And if no one ever reads it, that's ok. I'll know it's here.
