Disaster Planning

ha! Finally made it to my birthday, ya’ll. Funny, I don’t feel any older. Or wiser, for that matter. I’m supposed to be all grown up now, though, so I guess I better get right on that. Perhaps I do need to sit down and make some lists. You know I am a big list maker**. I don’t know what I would make lists of, though, because I already have a bunch of lists, see**.

All joking aside, one needs to be prepared for disaster. I have lived here in hurricane alley most of my life, and when I wasn’t here, I was in tornado-ville. Weather related disasters are not unknown to me, though I have been fortunate not to have one personally. We are in the middle of hurricane season here, and soon my bathroom will be filled with jugs of water, and Dh will be saying “fill them up” and I’ll be saying “not yet”.

I was looking at an online disaster planning tool today. I like that I can enter information about my family, and they will give me a list of the supplies I need to have on hand for us. I always feel like I am forgetting something, yk? Axcesspoints is free to try for 30 days, and once you set it up, you can access it from anywhere. You can have your medical history and financial information at your fingertips, no matter where you are. After the first 30 days, it costs just 9.95 per month. That’s a pretty cheap price for peace of mind.

Speaking of pieces of my mind (haha, I’m in rare form today!), I’m having a hard time hanging on to mine. I think it’s time to wrap this up, and quit trying to keep a grip on my thoughts before I hurt myself!
