Operation Exercise: The 30 Day Update

So, yeah.  I’ve been doing this for 30 days.  According to popular wisdom, I have managed to build myself a habit.  Whodda thunk it?

Here’s what today’s session looked like:

  • 100 squats
  • 100 calf raises
  • 120 crunches
  • 40 push ups
  • 100 squats
  • 30 push ups
  • 50 squats
  • 60 second plank

I am less than impressed with that plank time, but I am concentrating on form now instead of straight time.  But did you count those squats?  That’s right!  Day 30 and I did 250 of them.  I’ll be working on doing 250 in one set for the next several weeks.  The count on everything else will continue to climb.

Here’s what I have noticed so far:

  1. I haven’t lost any weight.
  2. But I have an ass for the first time in 18 years.
  3. The widest part of me is now at the juncture of thigh and hip.  I slope in from that point in both directions.  I won’t go so far as to claim a waist yet, but I am noticing changes.
  4. I sweat.  A lot.
  5. My feet and ankles look awesome.  In fact, from the floor to mid-calf, I’d hit that.  And my ass.  Let’s not forget that.

So there ya go.  We’ll discuss this again in 10 days.
