It is absolutely true that I learn something every day! Ooooh, how I do enjoy the internet! Just call me an info-junkie, it’s ok 🙂
Here’s a blog for the voice actor in you. Or the wanna-be voice actor, or the voice groupie, or the one who’s curious as to whether or not voice acting may be for them. You’ll find out about industry news, and hot issues in the field. Resources are covered too. It’s an active blog, with frequent updates, and it’s both searchable and subscrib-able.
Ok, not all, but a lot. I can certainly relate to many of the things the CEO of PayPerPost talks about, particularly balancing life and work. As you can tell from some of my other posts, it seems like sometimes the work of this SAHM never ends. Yeah, I’m having a hard time finding balance. Someday I’ll get it figured out, and Ted will too.
One thing that constantly amazes me is the youth of this PPP crew. Ted’s 30, I know, and I think he’s one of the older PPP folks. Not the Posties, though alot of them are young as well. I mean the office guys and gals. PPP is not the first rocket he’s fired up and ridden to success. That drive and energy just floors me. I don’t ever remember being that full of ideas and the will to make them happen.
About the gym thing? Not so much, LOL! I had issues weight as a kid, and I am now about the same size I’ve always been. I’ve quit struggling so, because it doesn’t seem to make a bit of difference what I eat, I still weigh the same. Now, if I could re-arrange things, and move some of the baby belly around to where my non-existent tail should be……that would be great.
I was a little dissapointed that he didn’t talk about some of the issues PPP is dealing with right now, but maybe he needed five minutes without the biz on his mind. I can relate. I can so relate.
Oh, if you’d like to see the video that started this chain of thought, here it is.
Tired of Head Hunters? Job Scams? GetTheJob.com may be just what you need. Weeding through bogus job listings takes time, and time is not replaceable. GetTheJob.com only has listings from direct hire companies. No head hunters who keep your resume on file for eons, but never call. No third party recruiters who call and nag you endlessly. And no too good to be true scams to waste your money and time. They also tap into the hidden job market, since 70% of their (over 2 million) listings are not on commercial job boards. The database is searchable by location and job description. You can also browse by company if you already know who you want to work for. Dh will be spending some time this evening looking through the 211 computer jobs in our area tonight!
Today, I’ll be spending quite a bit of time spinning my wheels here at the desk. One of my pump horns broke last night, so it’s gonna take twice as long to pump as it usually does. Bearing in mind that I typically spend 5-6 hours at it………….yeah, see?
I need to do laundry, teach and several other things. Before I forget, I also want to do some day planning, and share some thoughts on what normal is. But, I am almost through pumping, so I will hold off on that until I get back.
Oh, yes, DH is picking up another set of horns for me today.
Ok, I need to decide what to do with this blog. I think Cass Knits is getting too crowded. And I have interests that I don’t think my readers over there are interested in. And I do put up some pretty muddled posts over there.
I need a place to think, but thinking on that blog is not going to take it where I want it to go. I could keep track of school stuff here.
I could write weird poems like I did in high school. I could write, period. I used to think I had a book in me somewhere. I wonder if it’s still there?
I could write letters to my kids, nut wouldn’t I need 8 blogs for that? After all, I have 8 journals for them that I never write in.
I could make this the whining blog, where I fuss about how dirty my house is, and how I am never caught up with anything, and if I don’t get to go pee by myself then I’ll scream.
The truth is, I don’t know what I want to do here.
Shopping online is fun with coupons. My favorites are for free shipping, because as convenient as it is to sit here on the computer waiting for stuff to come to me, sometimes paying for shipping just steals the thrill, iykwim. Here are some Overstock.com coupons, including one for 12% off *and* $1 shipping. That one expires Monday, but there are several more on the page that are good for awhile yet.
