Making ends meet

People aften express amazement at the fact that I “don’t work”. (Oh, if only they understood it’s 24x7x365.)(And I don’t count my DH in that number, because he totally realizes what it takes here on a daily basis.) But people do wonder how we make it on one income.

The fact is that we don’t, because I make money from home. It does takes some moola to live, and I am happy to assist DH in this way. I’m grateful, in fact. I tried working outside the home when my now 11 year old was a baby. DH worked first shift, and I worked second so we didn’t need a sitter. But it tore me up. Even though it was DH, “somebody else” was feeding my kids dinner and “someone else” was putting them to bed, and I did not like it one little bit. And that was FIVE kids ago, ykwim?

There are lots of ways to make money from home. You know about PPP of course, and similar things, but you should get a run-down on how to make money online with Agloco . Because if means the difference between having to leave your babies, and being able to stay home with them, there is no decision to make, IMNSHO.

Didja miss me?

Did you notice I wasn’t here this morning? I said last night I really needed to not let my sites consume my day. That’s really easy to do when you work from home, isn’t it? There’s either the temptation to never get down to business or either business all day. And, yes, sometimes call internet fun “work”.

So today, I allowed myself an hour of internet time first thing after I got up, and then I really did get up and attend to other things. Here’s the proof!

I’m really proud of myself, and way too embarrassed to show you a before pic. You’ll just have to imagine the horror yourself.

See the dust flying?

I’m doing a little re-arranging in here. Can you tell? That’s what I’ve been up to today. If you notice that some of your favorite links are missing from the sidebar (or perhaps *your own* link is missing), please know they probably aren’t lost, they are just moved. Since I’ve opened the new sites, I’m putting the links on the site they fit best. They will be going up one by one with a little write up about why I read that site. Because, yes, I do read them. Mostly.

It just seemed like a good time to do this job, since I’ve been meaning to go through the blogrolls for quite awhile anyway. Upgrading to 2.1 just spurred me into action.

SO Excited!!

Google is finally pushing out the page rank update. Looks like this blog is going to a 4. I am thrilled with that. Oh, I know PR doesn’t mean all that and sliced bread, but still………I’m a competitive sort, and ZERO really gets my goat!

I’m a Blogul©!

My pal Suni coined and copyrighted this term, and I am adopting it as well. I’ve started 2 more blogs that I am pretty excited about. This is in addition to the ones you know about. No, I’m not giving you the links yet, but I will soon.

I am considering, though, getting myself some new free business cards that list all my blogs. I have old free business cards that I use for HolySheep!, but they don’t even list my knitting blog. Now that I spend so much time writing, I’d like to let people know what I am up to. I could totally do that with free business cards, for minimal expense.

As a matter of fact, I’m taking the plunge. I’ll update this post with a picture in just a few minutes!

Haha on me! You got the links anyway, didn’t you?

Goji Berries

I’ve been reading and hearing about anti-oxidants for years, but I had never heard of Goji Berries until a few days ago. Apparently, these berries are packed with anti-oxidants, containing more than any other food source. Anti-oxidants fight free radicals, which can slow the aging process and offer some decrease in cancer risk.

The polysaccharides found in Goji berries help fight inflamation, and boost the immune system. They also stimulate the pituitary gland to produce more Human Growth Hormone. They come from Northern Asia in the Tibetan and Mongolian Himalayas, where people are generally less afflicted with diseases such as stroke, high blood pressure, cancer, and diabetes.

Goji berries contain:
* 19 amino acids, 6 times more than Bee Pollen
* 21 trace minerals, including Germanium
* 6 essential fatty acids
* Vitamins B1, B2, B6, C, E
* More beta carotene than carrots
* More antioxidant power than any other known food source
* 500 times more Vitamin C than oranges
* 4 Unique Polysaccharides (Master Molecules) found in no other food source
* More antioxidants than any other known food source.
* Linoleic acid, which significantly promotes body fat loss
* 15 times more nutritional iron than spinach

HP Camera

Here it is, the completed hp camera puzzle. 48 pieces of madness for a cool one thousand bucks. I don’t know if I won or not, but yes, I did fall on the playing side of the fence. It really was fun. I enjoyed “meeting” some new bloggers along the way. PPP has attracted some talented wordsmiths, that’s for sure, and for the most part they are incredibly friendly and helpful. Anyway, here’s hoping I was good enough and fast enough. And if you want to play next time, click the “get paid to blog about the things you love” button over there in the sidebar!key.jpg
